Recommended Reading #5

It's that time again!
Just a quick message to say that, for those of you who are excited about Part V of the Dating series, you're going to have to stay excited a little longer! This week (18th-25th) I am on holiday and will not be able to write a post, or post it even if I did write it. Taking a cool little Godly sabbatical with my gorgeous girlfriend (we have separate rooms, fear not) so we can connect a little more and spend some time with one another and Jesus.
So, to that end, you'll all have to make do with a Recommended Reading to get you through the week until I return and get the next part of the Dating series up. If you've missed something from the series then please do check them all out here - Dating Page on Heart of Corinth.

  • Ever feel like, since everyone else in the world seems to have it far worse than you, that you shouldn't trouble God with your inferior problems that are "no big deal"? Well this post, entitled "It's Just a Flesh Wound!", is for you.
  • I recently saw that the crazies from the infamous Westboro Baptist 'Church', who run the website known as Godhatesfags (which I won't link, I don't want this blog on their traffic sources), are intending on picketing Mars Hill this week. Check out how Pastor Mark deals with this in this article.
  • Here's a short article showing the link between physical and spiritual malaise, showing how to effectively weed out any spiritual disease, from desiringgod.org - Malaise.
  • To finish up here, I'll link a great article from the fantastic blog "Stuff Christians Like". It's about the pasts of people and how they can affect the present, and how the Bible calls us to deal with our pasts. Click here for the article entitled "The Past".
To conclude, I would once more just like to ask people to e-mail me any questions they have for a Q&A on Christian Dating I intend to do for the final part of the Dating series. You can e-mail me on heartofcorinth@gmail.com, get me on Twitter or even post on this topic I recently added to christianforums.net. Any questions are welcome, and I look forward to hearing from you all!

God bless guys; please pray Sam and I get some great time with Jesus, and that we get some good weather so I can hit the beach while I'm away!

I'll leave you with the words of the main man Paul, from 1Corinthians 13:1-3:

"If I could speak all the languages of earth and of angels, but didn’t love others, I would only be a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. If I had the gift of prophecy, and if I understood all of God’s secret plans and possessed all knowledge, and if I had such faith that I could move mountains, but didn’t love others, I would be nothing. If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing."
